Here at O’Dell, we supplied gas monitoring and detection equipment from Critical Environment Technologies (CET) for the new Pickering Operations Centre, located on Clements Road in Pickering. The facility was designed to accommodate the public works department’s operational needs.

To monitor carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) gases from the centre’s various service vehicles, we supplied five CET FCS-8-B BACnet-enabled digital controllers with remote digital transmitters.

The CET controllers come with integral relaysprogrammed by the factory or on site, to enable exhaust fans, dampers and other alarm devices at defined gas alarm levels. The flexibility of the CET system allows for optimal control of the ventilation system and peripheral alarming devices. These systems are also being monitored through the central building’s automation system for status and readings of all points via BACnet.
